Overview

Students are expected to obtain the Bachelor of Art Education Teacher degree after completing 132 credit hours.

The program aims to prepare learners educationally, academically, aesthetically, and artistically in the fields of art education, and to qualify them to work in teaching at all levels of pre-university education, both public and private, in Jordan and the Arab world, by providing them with knowledge, skills, applied experiences, educational trends and values, and research skills which enable them to conduct research and analysis in art education sciences, continue their postgraduate studies, and obtain a working awareness of the ethics of teaching.

During their studies, the student should acquire academic and aesthetic knowledge in the fields of art education and history. They should demonstrate the ability to use basic techniques as well as use innovative and creative techniques in the fields of drawing, photography, design, printing, calligraphy, decorative arts, sculpture, ceramics, handicrafts, using environmental materials, and employing technology to create art. These skills and abilities should be effectively transmitted to their students following high standards of teaching. In addition, the student should acquire effective teaching skills and modern teaching methods through a curriculum of educational materials, teaching and evaluation strategies, educational psychology, pedagogy, educational technology, and research into art education. The well-rounded curriculum includes field training in Ministry of Education  schools and micro-learning models in related materials.
